Comprehensive Exam Information

The database questions for the comprehensive exam (Fall 06) will be based on the textbook
R. Ramakrishnan and J. Gehrke, Database Management Systems, 3rd edition, McGraw Hill, 2003.
Anything in this textbook is possible content of the exam.
The exam will primarily (but not exclusively) ask you to do things (as opposed to asking for definitions).
Examples things you might be asked to do are: inserting into a B+ tree, normalizing a relation, or
finding association rules in a set of transactions

AGAIN:  QUESTIONS MAY BE RELATED TO ANY PART OF THE TEXTBOOK!
