  • Conference Paper Accepted to IEEE ITNG 2012

    Congrats to Talukdar and Mohammed on having their paper accepted to the Software Testing Track of the 9th IEEE Conference on Information Technology : New Generations. Either Talukdar or Mohammed will be presenting the paper at the conference which will be located in Las Vegas, Nevada from April 16-18, 2012.

  • Two STRG Members Clear Masters Defense in Computer Science

    Congrats to STRG members Debajyoti Dash and Akanksha Jaidev on sucessfully clearing their Masters defense in Computer Science this week. Debajyoti and Akanksha represent the first alumni members of the STRG at NDSU. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors, and thank them for their contributions to the research group (10/29/2011).

  • Foundation Work on Autonomic Self-Testing Wins Best Paper

    A paper describing a portion of Dr. King's doctoral research on Autonomic Self-Testing has received the award for Best Paper in 8th IEEE International Conference on Autonomic and Trusted Computing. The paper is co-authored by some of his former research colleagues at FIU, and his PhD dissertation advisor Dr. Peter J. Clarke.

  • Cloud Testing Research to be Presented at STITC 2011

    Dr. King has been invited by Dr. Scott Tilley, Florida Tech, to give a talk on the STRG's Cloud Testing Research Project at the STITC 2011 Workshop. This year STITC is co-located with IBM CASCON 2011 in Ontario, Canada. The workshop presentation will be an extension of Annaji's research which is appearing in the main conference (8/28/2011).

  • Conference Paper Accepted to IBM CASCON 2011

    Congrats to Annaji for having his paper accepted to the 21st Annual Conference of the IBM Center of Advanced Studies Research. The paper is led by Dr. King and co-authored by Dave Froslie, Test Architect at Microsoft. Dr. King will be attending the conference to present the paper in November (8/2/2011).

  • Second VCell Testing Member Recruited, All Positions Filled

    NDSU graduate student Christopher Schaefer will join STRG member Adam Jacobs on the software testing team of the WoWiWe Instruction Company. Both of the advertised research assistantship positions have now been filled, and applications are now closed. Thanks to everyone who expressed interest in the project (5/18/2011).

  • Annaji's Research Featuring in Microsoft Engineering Day Expo

    Annaji's research on cloud testing will be featured in the Microsoft Fargo Engineering Day Excellence Expo. The Expo will be held today from 4PM-6PM in the Commons Building of the Microsoft Great Plains site. Dr. King has been invited to participate in the event as a presenter with Annaji.

  • Organizational Meeting: Progress Report and Presentation Rehearsal

    An STRG meeting will be held today at 2PM in IACC 258C. Agenda items include reporting small group progress, and reviewing STITC Perspectives Book Chapter before submission. Mohammed will also rehearse his presentation on Test Information Propagation in preparation for his research trip to ECBS 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

  • Members to Attend Talk on Test-Enabled Development

    The STRG will be attending a talk by Dave Froslie, Test Architect at the Microsoft Great Plains site in Fargo. The talk entitled "Test-Enabled Development" will be held today at 12:30PM in FLC 313. Mr. Froslie is a guest of Dr. Dean Knudson, Associate Professor in the Computer Science Department and Coordinator of the NDSU Capstone Course.

  • First VCell Testing Member Recruited, One More Needed

    NDSU graduate student Adam Jacobs has joined the STRG as the first member on the VCell Testing Project. He will start working with the team at the WoWiWe Instruction Company this summer. There is still one more position open for this project, which carries a part-time graduate research assistantship.

  • New Member Recruitment for VCell Testing Project

    We are currently conducting outreach to attract new members to work on an upcoming research project on testing the educational game Virtual Cell (VCell). The new research project will involve applying model-based and exporatory testing techniques to the VCell game, and developing automated load and stress testing tools to validate its behavior.

  • Small Group Meetings and Assignments for Spring Semester

    This week we will be scheduling small group meetings. Group assignments are as follows: Mohammed, Akanksha - update TIP prototype and associated documentation; Arti, Asha - survey testing tools for autonomic regression test scheduling project; and Iyad, Debajoyti - ERP testing prototype design. Annaji and Richard will meet with me individually.

  • Conference Paper Accepted to IEEE ECBS 2011

    Congrats to Mohammed and Akanksha on having their paper accepted to the 18th IEEE International Conference on the Engineering of Computer-Based Systems (ECBS 2011). Mohammed will be presenting the paper at the conference, which is being held in Las Vegas, Nevada from April 27-29, 2011.
