The Department of Computer Science at North Dakota State University seeks to fill a tenure-track position Assistant/Associate Professor starting Spring 2010.  PhD required. NDSU offers degrees in Computer Science and Software Engineering. Research and teaching excellence is expected. Normal teaching loads are 3 courses per year. Salary is competitive.


The Department has 18 Faculty in diverse areas, approximately 180 graduate (PhD and MS) students and 240 BS/BA students. The NDSU administration is committed to taking the institution to Carnegie research extensive class. Research funds for the past four years exceed $4 million.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D in Computer Science or a closely related area. Experience or other evidence of potential for excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching, research and service. Effective oral and written communication skills.


Qualifications preferred but not required:

Experience or other evidence of potential for excellence in research in software engineering, networks, security, graphics, artificial intelligence, or other areas.
