I am glad to be back in North Dakota (I grew up in Grafton) after having lived in several other parts of the country.  My wife and I enjoy Fargo and our lake cabin on Lake Lida in Minnesota.  We have two married children and three grandchildren and love getting together with them whenever possible.  My hobbies include bowling and fishing.

I earned my PhD in Computer Science from Northwestern University and have over 35 years experience in software development and management.  Companies I have worked for include Microsoft, Northrop Grumman, Honeywell - Systems and Research Center, CPT, ITT - Advanced Technology Center and Bell Labs.

Capstone Program

Capstone Brochure

Sample Capstone projects

Projects are done as part of CSCI 445 – Software Projects: Capstone, and often as part of CSCI 716, Software Design.  My role is to work with industry in the fall to define appropriate projects for development as Capstone projects.  In the spring I work with student teams to define the processes used and coordinate these projects.
